Our classic design features a patented child resistant safety lock button, which releases and allows the ignition switch to engage.

1. Depress and hold safety lock button.
2. Slide ignition switch forward to ignite and hold to maintain flame.
3. Release the ignition switch to extinguish flame and stop fuel flow.

MPL FILLING WITH ZIPPO GAS

• Fill the Zippo MPL lighter in a ventilated area, away from open flames and possible sparks.
• Hold the lighter upside down so that the refill opening under the lighter is face up.
• Select the appropriate nozzle from the gas cylinder cap and insert into the refill bottle.
• Insert the nozzle into the filling hole and press several times firmly with even pressure.
• Make sure that the filler bottle is firmly in contact with the filling hole! If the gas should leak, try again.
• Lighter gas is not only highly flammable but also extremely cold. Avoid contact with skin!
• Wait at least 2 minutes before using the lighter. During this time the seals will close properly and the escaping gas will evaporate.
